PRE Development PROCESS
Data Collection To devise an impactful solution for Cerestar, we studied the steps that the company's purchasing team takes to generate an optimised purchasing plan. With the knowledge, we crafted a bespoke formula aimed at expediting the end-to-end process, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness throughout.
Design Phase With the objective of maximising product adoption, our product design focused around a user experience that simplifies the process to just two steps: uploading existing spreadsheets and effortlessly downloading the desired results.
IMPACT Through our efforts, we achieved two remarkable milestones. Firstly we successfully reduced the time needed to calculate an optimized purchasing plan from a week-long process to a mere five minutes. Secondly, our innovative purchase planning tool enabled the company to achieve an estimated annual cost savings of USD 7.88 million, delivering tangible financial benefits to their operations.
